| Ashoro (足寄町, Ashoro-chō) is a town located in Tokachi Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. As of September 2016, the town has an estimated population of 7,150 and a density of 5.1 persons per km2. The total area is 1,408.09 km2. It was the largest municipality in Japan until the merger of Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture on February 1, 2005. Main industries of the town include dairying and farming of sugar beet and wheat. Lake Onnetō is a major attraction of the town and is a part of Akan National Park. (English,instead German) | ||||||

| Der Meakan-dake, (jap. 雌阿寒岳, wörtlich: „weiblicher Akan-Gipfel“) ist ein 1499 m hoher aktiver Vulkan auf Hokkaidō in Japan. Er liegt im Ortsteil Akan-chō im Norden der Stadt Kushiro in der Präfektur Hokkaidō. Der Schichtvulkan entstand im Südwesten der 13 auf 24 Kilometer großen Akan-Caldera. Ebenfalls innerhalb der Caldera liegen der 1476 m hohe Akan-Fuji (阿寒富士) unmittelbar südlich des Meakan und der 1371 m hohen Oakan-dake (雄阿寒岳, „männlicher Akan-Gipfel“) im Nordosten. Zwischen Meakan und Oakan befindet sich der Akan-See.[1] | ||||||
