Shiroishi (白石町, Shiroishi-chō) is a town located in south-central Saga Prefecture, Japan, in Kishima District. It is known for its vast reclaimed land and tidal flats of the Ariake Sea. As of October 1, 2016, the town has an estimated population of 23,606. On January 1, 2005 Shiroshi absorbed the towns of Fukudomi and Ariake, all from Kishima District, to become the new and expanded town of Shiroshi.

1.Suko Castle
Suko Castle (須古城, Suko-jō) is the site of a castle structure in Shiroishi, Saga Prefecture, Japan. Its ruins have been protected as a Prefectural Historic Site.[2] In the Muromachi period, Suko Castle was the home castle of the Hirai clan. The lords of the castle included Hirai Tsuneharu. The Ryūzōji clan attacked the castle on four occasions, and it finally fell in 1574.[2][3][4]
