1．Saga (city)
Saga (佐賀市, Saga-shi, Japanese: [saꜜɡa]) is the capital city of Saga Prefecture, located on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Saga was the capital of Saga Domain in the Edo period, and the largest city of former Hizen Province. As of August 1, 2020, the city had an estimated population of 232,736 and a population density of 539 persons per km2. The total area is 431.84 km2. Saga is located in the southeast part of Saga Prefecture. After the 2005 merger the city became very long north to south, bordering the Ariake Sea to the south and Fukuoka Prefecture to the southeast and north. The northern half of the city contains the Sefuri Mountains. Saga can also be regarded as within the Greater Fukuoka metropolitan area, and by extension, Fukuoka-Kitakyushu Metropolitan Area.

2．Karatsu, Saga
Karatsu (唐津市, Karatsu-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Its name, formed from the Japanese word roots 唐 kara (China, or continental East Asia in general), and 津 tsu (port), signifies its historical importance as an ancient trading port between Japan with China and Korea. The central area of Karatsu, which does not include the former cities and villages of Higashimatsuura District, has a population of 78,386. As of January 1, 2020, the city had an estimated population of 117,663 and a population density of 241 persons per km2. The total area is 487.59 km2. On January 1, 2005, the towns of Chinzei, Hamatama, Hizen, Kyūragi, Ōchi, Yobuko and the village of Kitahata (all from Higashimatsuura District) were merged into Karatsu. On January 1, 2006, the village of Nanayama (from Higashimatsuura District) was merged into Karatsu.

3．Tosu, Saga
Tosu (鳥栖市, Tosu-shi) is a city located in the eastern part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. As of February 28, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 72,755 and a population density of 1,000 persons per km2. The total area is 71.73 km2.

4．Taku, Saga
Taku (多久市, Taku-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. The city was founded on May 1, 1954 through the merger of several towns and villages. As of March 1, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 19,202 and a population density of 200 persons per km². The total area is 96.93 km². Taku joined the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities in 2017.

5．Imari, Saga
Imari (伊万里市, Imari-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Imari is most notable because of Imari porcelain, which is the European collectors' name for Japanese porcelain wares made in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture. The porcelain was exported from the port of Imari specifically for the European export trade. As of October 1, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 54,907 and a population density of 220 persons per km2. The total area is 254.99 km2.

6．Takeo, Saga
Takeo (武雄市, Takeo-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. In 2011, the city government was the first in Japan to switch to using Facebook for its website. As of October 1, 2016, the city has an estimated population of 48,845 and a population density of 257 persons per km². The total area is 195.44 km². On March 1, 2006, the towns of Kitagata and Yamauchi (both from Kishima District) were merged into Takeo.

7．Kashima, Saga
Kashima (鹿島市, Kashima-shi) is a city located in the southern part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. As of February 28, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 30,159 and a population density of 270 persons per km². The total area is 112.10 km².

8．Ogi, Saga
Ogi (小城市, Ogi-shi) is a city located in the central part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. As of February 28, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 45,638 and a population density of 480 persons per km². The total area is 95.85 km². The modern city of Ogi was established on March 3, 2005, from the merger of the former town of Ogi, absorbing the towns of Ashikari, Mikatsuki and Ushizu (all from Ogi District). Ogi District was dissolved as a result of this merger. It has gradually come to be known as the city with the highest consumption of yōkan in Japan.

9．Ureshino, Saga
Ureshino (嬉野市, Ureshino-shi) is a city located in the western part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan. The modern city of Ureshino was formed on January 1, 2006, by the merger of the former town of Ureshino, absorbing the town of Shiota (both from Fujitsu District). Ureshino is locally known for the green tea grown there and its hot spring resorts.

10．Kanzaki, Saga
Kanzaki (神埼市, Kanzaki-shi) is a city located in Saga Prefecture, Japan. As of February 28, 2017, the city has an estimated population of 31,981 and a population density of 260 persons per km2. The total area is 125.01 km2. The modern city of Kanzaki was established on March 20, 2006, from the merger of the former town of Kanzaki, absorbing the town of Chiyoda, and the village of Sefuri (all from Kanzaki District). As a result of this merger there are no longer any villages in Saga Prefecture.

11．Yoshinogari, Saga
Yoshinogari (吉野ヶ里町, Yoshinogari-chō) is a town located in Kanzaki District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is the result of a merger between the town of Mitagawa, and the village of Higashisefuri, both from Kanzaki District, on March 1, 2006. As of March 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 16,117.

12．Kiyama, Saga
Kiyama (基山町, Kiyama-chō) is a town located in Miyaki District, Saga Prefecture, Japan on the island of Kyūshū. It can be considered part of an economic sphere with nearby cities Tosu in Saga Prefecture and Ogōri and Kurume in Fukuoka Prefecture. Approximately 10 percent of the population of Kiyama works or goes to school in the city of Fukuoka and as such Kiyama can be considered a part of the Fukuoka metropolitan area. It is also known as a commuter town for Kurume. As of March 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 17,398.

Kamimine (上峰町, Kamimine-chō) is a town located in Miyaki District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. As of March 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 9.589.

14．Miyaki, Saga
Miyaki (みやき町, Miyaki-chō) is a town in Miyaki District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is the first town in Saga to have its name spelled in hiragana rather than kanji. It is named after the district it is located in. As of March 1, 2017, the town has an estimated population of 25,534.

15．Genkai, Saga
Genkai (玄海町, Genkai-chō) is a town located in Higashimatsuura District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It has an area of 36.00 km² and as of February 28, 2017 has a population of 5,855. It is currently the only municipality in Higashimatsuura District. There was a town with the same name in Fukuoka Prefecture, but it now no longer exists.

16．Arita, Saga
Arita (有田町, Arita-chō) is a town located in Nishimatsuura District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is known for producing Arita porcelain, one of the traditional handicrafts of Japan. It also holds the largest ceramic fair in Western Japan, the Arita Ceramic Fair. This event is held from April 29 to May 5 (Golden Week) every year and has thousands of stores and stalls lining the six-kilometre long main street. On March 1, 2006 the town of Nishiarita, from Nishimatsuura District, was merged into Arita.

Ōmachi (大町町, Ōmachi-chō) is a town located in Kishima District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. As of October 1, 2016, the town has an estimated population of 6,680.

Kōhoku (江北町, Kōhoku-machi) is a town located in Kishima District, Saga Prefecture, Japan. It is known as a crossroads for railways and national highways, and as such has dubbed itself "the navel of Saga". As of October 1, 2016, the town has an estimated population of 9,524.

19．Shiroishi, Saga
Shiroishi (白石町, Shiroishi-chō) is a town located in south-central Saga Prefecture, Japan, in Kishima District. It is known for its vast reclaimed land and tidal flats of the Ariake Sea. As of October 1, 2016, the town has an estimated population of 23,606. On January 1, 2005 Shiroshi absorbed the towns of Fukudomi and Ariake, all from Kishima District, to become the new and expanded town of Shiroshi.
